Resident Question: "Have you served on any committees in the Township of Scugog?"

That’s a fair question. I haven’t served on any Township of Scugog committees.

For many years, I was balancing a demanding career, raising my son, and helping with my mother's end-of-life care.  Because of those responsibilities, I wasn’t able to make the time commitment that municipal committee service deserves.

That said, throughout my professional career, I served on numerous internal committees and working groups, collaborating with colleagues to solve problems, improve processes, review information, and help make decisions that affected operations and service delivery. I was also involved with school parent and fundraising committees in the community.

Now that I have the time and capacity to commit fully, I’m putting my name forward for Council. I believe my professional experience, combined with my understanding of the challenges local residents face every day, gives me a practical perspective that will serve Ward 2 well.

Committee experience is valuable, but what matters most is being prepared, listening to residents, asking good questions, and making thoughtful decisions. That’s what I will bring to Council.
