Over the past few days, I’ve shared the pillars that form the foundation of my campaign and, more importantly, the kind of representation I believe Ward 2 deserves.
When you put them all together, the message is pretty simple:
I want a Township government that listens, communicates openly, spends responsibly, and plans for our future.
Accountability means taking responsibility for decisions and ensuring taxpayers can understand how and why those decisions are made.
Responsible spending means respecting every tax dollar and asking the important questions before we spend it. Good government isn’t about spending the most - it’s about getting the best value for our community.
Communication means keeping residents informed, making information accessible, and making sure people have an opportunity to be heard - not just at election time.
Smart growth means planning carefully for the future while protecting the character of our communities, our infrastructure, and the things that make Scugog such a special place to live.
And throughout all of these pillars is transparency - because residents should never have to wonder what their government is doing, why decisions are being made, or where their tax dollars are going.
These aren’t just campaign promises to me. They are the principles I would bring to Council every day.
This campaign has always been about listening and working together. I’m running because I believe Ward 2 deserves a Councillor who will ask questions, do the work, communicate with residents, and always keep the community at the centre of the conversation.
Community. Vision. Action.
That’s what I’m bringing to this election.
And I’d be honoured to bring it to Council. 💚💙
Elect Alisa Cole | Ward 2 Councillor
